Artist of the week: Eli!

Congrats to this week's artist of the week, Eli! He did a great job working on his scarecrow and is a joy to have in class! Way to go Eli!



Kindergarten & 1st grade made scarecrows this week in art! Even though some of them turned out quite scary, they had fun and did a great job following directions! 😉      

Artist Of The Week: Jorden!

Congrats to this weeks artist of the week, Kindergarten student Jorden! I have seen a huge improvement in Jorden's drawing skills this year. Jorden took his time drawing & coloring and was the last one to finish his artwork in art class on Friday. Great job!!

Messy Hands!

Kentucky Derby Parade at SNA!

We've been working hard in the art room the past few weeks! Grades K-5 were making derby hats, and Grades 6-8 made floats. We had a parade at school last Wednesday. Great job students! Here are the winners picked from each grade:

Piet Mondrian Projects!

Kindergarten & 1st grade classes learned about artist Piet Mondrian this week and looked at his red, blue, and yellow "compositions." We then created our own red, blue, and yellow composition! These are hanging in the hall. Above is one of Mondrian's famous works that we replicated.
